For the 20th time, the largest exhibition event in the field of analytical chemistry brought together manufacturers, suppliers of laboratory equipment and chemical reagents with industry experts on its unique platform. In total, the exposition and the business program of the event were visited by 4,895 specialists: managers, engineers, technologists, specialists from research institutes, as well as scientific and industrial laboratories. At the round table Ensuring the work of analytical and testing laboratories under sanctions as part of the business program of the exhibition, experts identified possible risks in the field of technical regulation, standardization, conformity assessment and metrology for Russian industry and business and put forward proposals to overcome the restrictions.

The 20th Anniversary International Exhibition of Laboratory Equipment and Chemical Reagents was held in Moscow from 19 to 22 April 2022. Participants demonstrated laboratory equipment, chemical reagents, laboratory furniture and glassware, laboratory research automation equipment, biotechnology equipment and instrumentation: spectrometers, particle size analyzers, density meters, pH meters, oximeters, ion meters, etc.

A brief review shows the potential for antiviral activity against COVID 19 of natural antioxidants both in pure form and in foods. Several publications indicate that a number of powerful antioxidants have a therapeutic effect in the treatment of a dangerous infection. The inhibitory effect of antioxidants has been proven by clinical studies. An extensive bibliography is provided.
A brief review of one of the neonatal screening methods based on tandem mass spectrometry is given. Detected metabolic disorders can be divided into four groups: those associated with amino acids, organic acids, the urea synthesis cycle, and the β-oxidation cycle. Today, the method allows to recognize biomarkers of about forty metabolic disorders of varying severity. The sample preparation technique, the principle of detection are described, practical examples of application are given, and the advantages of the proposed method are substantiated.

An overview of the scientific heritage of M. S. Tsvet is presented, the ideas of the creator of chromatography are reflected, and key achievements of chromatography over almost 120 years of its development are presented. The article was prepared based on the works of E. M. Senchenkova, which are devoted to the biography and scientific heritage of the great Russian scientist, whose name, along with M. V. Lomonosov, D. I. Mendeleev, A. M. Butlerov and N. N. Semenov, is one of the hundred outstanding chemists of the world, and the method he created is one of the twenty most significant discoveries of the past century.
