5-th Russian Conference “Geochronometrical Isotopic Systems, their Research Methods, Geological Process Chronology” At the Institute of ore fields geology, petrography, mineralogy and chemistry of Russian Academy of Science in June 4–6 took place the 5-th Russian conference on isotopic geochronology. It was mainly dedicated to the geochronology research methodology.

The process of water purification may carry a risk of formation of harmful chemicals to humans, such as bromate ions. This article describes an innovative method for the trace analysis of bromates in water with optimized post-column derivatization and UV/VIS detection of the triiodide.
HPLC Separation of Tea and Coffee Compounds in HILIC mode HILIC HPLC mode was used to separate natural compounds of coffee (coffeyl-quinic acids) and tea (catechins). The elution orders of the mentioned substances on amino silica-gel stationary phase with use of acetonitrile-water-phosphoric acid mobile phases were also elucidated.
Chromatographic Peaks Recovery by Means of Exponentially Modified Gaussian Exponentially modified Gaussian (EMG) is used extensively for chromatographic peak approximation. Authors have found a procedure of decomposing overlapping chromatographic peaks into EMG peaks with the linear optimization method. A sound way for calculating the EMG form by one of two alternative expressions and a simple method for determination of the EMG peak position were found.
