Ferroalloys are one of the basic components in the technological processes of the metallurgical industry. The expansion of the nomenclature, the increase in the requirements for their quality led to the need to improve the methods of analysis. The difficulty of the analysis of ferroalloys consists in a combination of high-precision and express determination of both alloying elements and related components and impurities. In the existing state standards for the methods of analysis of ferroalloys, only chemical and physico-chemical methods of analysis are regulated: titrimetry, gravimetry, atomic absorption spectrometry, spectrophotometry, etc., which are not universal. The article presents an overview of the methodological base and modern methods of analysis of ferroalloys.
