X-ray photoelectron diffraction and holography – new methods of 3D visualization of atomic surface structure X-ray photoelectron diffraction (XPD) and holography (XPH) are dynamically
developing methods for the study of the atomic surface structure of solids including
nanostructures formed during adsorption of gases, epitaxial growth of films etc. The
possibilities of XPD and XPH were considerably enhanced by combining their strong
points and improving the procedure of structural analysis of surface. Examples
of using XPD and XPH for structural analysis of surfaces of layered chalcogenides
Bi2Se3 and Bi2Te3 – topological insulators and important materials for tomorrow’s
spintronics – are discusse

Automatic biological samples pretreatment for clinical tests using LCMS/MS. Fully automated sample preparation module Shimadzu CLAM-2000. In the practice of laboratory medicine there is a steady trend towards the
increased use of liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. Shimadzu
Corporation presents CLAM-2000 which is the first system in the world able to
perform all steps for pretreatment of the biological samples to LC-MS/MS analysis
without any further manual interaction. It just requires the simple task of placing
the blood, or biological fluids collection tubes, reagents, internal standards and
specialized pretreatment vials in the system and start.

Interpretation of cathodoluminescence patterns by the example of fluorapatites from Kondyor koswites (Aldan shield In geology and mineralogy application of cathodoluminescence detectors that

limited to visualization of zoning of mineral individuals. Attempts to make use
of minerals’ ability to emit in genetic reconstruction are few. The present study
provides an example of a methodical approach that yields a new understanding
of koswites formation within the Kondyor massif through analyzing fluorapatite
cathodoluminescence patterns
